Our corporation offers several options to learn effective self defense techniques while at the same time gaining the many benefits that go along with physical activity and combative training. Most experienced martial artists will agree, one of the most effective and complete self defense systems in the world today is 'Gracie Jiu-Jitsu'.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling style of self defense in which leverage and technique are used to defend one's self from attack. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu gained great notoriety when the Gracie family started the Ultimate Fighting Championships as a means of showcasing to the world that their grappling style of martial art was superior to all of the traditional and modern martial arts being practiced today. As a result of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu's success in reality fighting matches, many of the traditional martial arts like Karate and Tae Kwon Do and combat military organizations including the U.S. army and U.S. Marine Corps sought out qualified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructors to teach them this highly effective self defense system.

Coastal Combatives Inc. is an official Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Association and our services are a direct result of the training received through Relson Gracie. Relson is the 2nd oldest son of Grandmaster Helio Gracie (Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Co-founder). Our instructors uphold and teach to the highest technical standards which have been passed down from the Gracie family to us. Coastal Combatives Inc. has worked extensively with the Federal Law Enforcement Training center and was the first civilian operation to have been officially certified through the United States Army to instruct and certify soldiers in Modern Army Combatives Training. Coastal Combatives Inc. is also officially supported by the Georgia Federation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools
